COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE
TRIVANDRUM

Welcome to CAT!

Recognized as one of the leading institutions for architecture and design, CAT stands as a distinguished academic and residential community comprising dedicated students, faculty, alumni, and staff. Rooted in a legacy of excellence, we are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, inclusivity, and mutual respect—creating an environment where every individual is empowered to reach their highest potential. We welcome you to be part of a community that inspires innovation, cultivates talent, and prepares you to shape the future of design.
  • Heartiest congratulations to Manu Viswam, recently graduated from CAT, whose architectural thesis “Urban Scar to Social Commons – A Heritage Museum for Cashew Legacy, Culture, and Community of Kollam” has been selected among the Top 5 in the Architecture Project Category at this year’s COA Awards

The project reimagines Kollam’s abandoned cashew-industrial waterfront as a vibrant public realm, transforming an urban scar into a social commons. By reconnecting the city with its industrial heritage, working-class legacy, ecology, and waterfront, the project envisions a new cultural landmark rooted in Kollam’s past while looking towards its future.

A special congratulations to Manu Viswam @manchacks and his mentor, Sreeram Ramesh @sreeram_ramesh , for this remarkable achievement and recognition.

We also extend our congratulations to Fathima Bajoo, whose project was selected for presentation at the awards. Unfortunately, she was unable to present as she arrived late at the college. Nevertheless, being selected itself is a remarkable achievement, and we are incredibly proud of her accomplishment.
